22nd June We met up at genevieve's house to try to finish up whatever's left to do. This is probably the last time that we are going to meet up before school reopens, so we have to make the best out of it. We managed to discuss the characters of the script as well as the setting of the short play. We have also made improvements to the powerpoint presentation. Made it short and sweet.XD Okay, the characters of the script will be a couple getting married and their family and friends. And the story will pretty much surround the preperations of a wedding........ okay, that's about all i'm going to tell, but it is pretty obvious what the story is going to be about...

14th June hi again okay we met up at the national library in the morning to find books on sharks. There were quite a few books in the reference library that were quite detailed and we would very much like to borrow it.However, the refernce library was a REFERENCE library, after all, which means that we could only refer to it. STRICTLY NO BORROWING. But we managed to get a few books from the non-reference part of the library though.... ok then we went to weiqing's house to continue on our report as well as data anylsis...

10th May Ms. Chua returned us our survey on Wednesday and we used ipw period to improve on it. We also discussed briefly the dates that we could meet up for ipw during the holidays. Seems that it would not be an easy task to make time to meet up. But we'll find a way, i guess.

17th June We met at Yvonne's house today for ipw. We pretty much finished our report... which is a GREAT accomplishment. And we started on our powerpoint presentation. We have to get ready by term 3 week 2 cos that's when the presentations are. We have decided to do a short script so that our presentation will not end up as a boring-and-ppl-will-end-up-sleeping-by-the-end-of-it kind of presentation. Hope it turns out well!

12th June hello ppl we were at genevieve's house today for IPW. We continued on our research on sharks as well as the consumption of shark's fin. Actually, of the 375 different species of sharks found in the world's oceans, only about 30 have been reported to ever attack a human. Of these, only about a dozen should be considered particularly dangerous when encountered. So this proves the people's common perception that ALL sharks attack humans, wrong. The chances of being attacked by a shark are very small compared to other animal attacks, natural disasters, and ocean-side dangers. Many more people drown in the ocean every year than are bitten by sharks. The few attacks that occur every year are an excellent indication that sharks do not feed on humans and that most attacks are simply due to mistaken identity. We also found out that there was an organisation in Singapore, Save Our Sharks, who is actively raising awareness of the public on the topic on finning. However, we couldn't find any way to contact the organisation, which is a real pity...
